Lagos LG chairman, Babatunde Oke, dies after battle with COVID-19

The Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Lagos State, Babatunde Oke is dead.

Okay.ng gathered that Oke died as a result of COVID-19 complications in the early hours of Wednesday at St. Nicholas Hospital on Lagos Island.

According to a close family source, he was initially receiving treatment at the Gbagada isolation centre before being moved to St. Nicholas when his health condition became critical.

Oke was a second term council chairman under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC).
