President Muhammadu Buhari has sent his condolences to former Governor of Yobe State Sen. Abba Bukar Ibrahim and members of the family on the loss of his daughter, Aisha.

This was contained in a statement signed by the President’s spokesman, Garba Shehu, on Monday.

According to the statement, the president said it is such a painful thing for a father to bury a child, but urges the family to accept the will of the Almighty.

President Buhari prayed that Allah forgives the shortcomings of the deceased and grant her Aljannah Firdaus.

He also prays for strength for family and friends to bear the irreparable loss.

Aisha, a staff of the Central Bank of Nigeria, died in Cairo, Egypt, at the age of 42, following child delivery complications.

She is survived by her parents, husband and an eight-month-old daughter.
