NAFDAC to establish 12 additional labs in Nigeria

Twelve new laboratories will be set up by the National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) around Nigeria okay.ng learnt.

According to Dr. Muftau Yahaya, the acting chairman of NAFDAC, the organization would have two laboratories in each of the nation’s six geopolitical zones.

The announcement was made by the acting chairman on Friday at the opening of the agency’s new State Office in Ilorin.

He revealed that the agency’s laboratory division had been decentralized by the board of directors in order to increase productivity.

Nigeria will reach stage four of maturity, and our manufacturers would easily be able to distribute their goods globally, he said.

Mrs. Rose Ajayi, the NAFDAC Coordinator for the South West Zone, outlined how she initiated the project when serving as the Kwara Coordinator.

Ajayi stated that the director-initial general’s trip to the state in 2018 contributed to their reaching their objective by the time she took over in 2021, which was in 2020 when they began building.

In the presence of the State Coordinator, Mr. Kenneth Azikwe, staff members, other sister agencies, and stakeholders, Dr.Yahaya and the agency’s Director-General, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, inaugurated the new state office.
