In the Katsina Ala region of Benue State’s Pevya Community, five persons have been slain by alleged gunmen.

According to information obtained by City Round, the event occurred on Wednesday when some thugs broke into a local pub in a tinted car and started shooting at the revelers, killing five people and injuring many more.

The gunmen, according to a source in Katsina Ala town who spoke on the condition of anonymity, were associates of the late Terwase Akwaza’s (also known as Gana) gang.

He stated, “An incident occurred in a community called Pevya, which is in the Katsina Ala Local Government Area of Benue State but is a border town to Taraba.”

“Oliver, one of the Community Guards, was shot by thieves at Pevya along with four other people. We learned that the bandits had been after the man for some time because they thought he was a local security officer’s informant.
