The FCT police command has confirmed the death of Usman Hammed, a man who was killed while out for a jog on Christmas day in the Laris estate of the Idu/Karmo area in Abuja.

Hammed, who worked for the Nigerian Upstream Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), left his home at around 7am for exercise and did not return.

His family members reported his absence to the Karmo divisional police headquarters and a search party was organized. Hammed’s body was later found with visible injuries.

The spokesperson for the state police command, DSP Josephine Adeh, confirmed the incident and stated that experts on the crime scene investigation team were present to remove the body and conduct preliminary investigations.
