Abba Aliyu, NRM candidate for Adamawa governorship, dies

The National Rescue Movement (NRM) has announced the death of its governorship candidate, Abba Aliyu, in a statement released on Thursday.

Afuye Olusola, the national publicity secretary of the party, confirmed the tragic news.

According to the statement, Aliyu passed away on Wednesday, January 25th at his residence in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, after a brief illness. He has been buried according to Muslim rites.

The leadership of the NRM and the Adamawa state chapter expressed their condolences to the family and loved ones of Aliyu, and called on his family members, business associates, and political associates to show them love and support during this difficult period.

The NRM also announced that further details and arrangements for the late Aliyu would be made known to the public after meetings and discussions with his immediate family and political family.
