The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has announced the commencement of its recruitment exercise for 2023.

Here are five things to know about the recruitment exercise:

  1. Application Period: The online application will be open for four weeks, from Sunday, 12th March to Saturday, 8th April 2023.
  2. Available Categories: The recruitment exercise will be in three categories: Superintendent Cadre (General Duties or Specialists), Narcotic Agent Cadre, and Narcotic Assistant Cadre.
  3. Specific Requirements: Each category has specific requirements that applicants must meet. For example, applicants for the Superintendent Cadre (General Duties or Specialists) must possess a first Degree/HND in any discipline from a recognized institution of learning and an NYSC Discharge Certificate/Exemption Certificate.
  4. Statutory Requirements: In addition to the specific requirements for each cadre, all applicants must meet certain statutory requirements, such as being of Nigerian origin by birth and possessing a National Identity Number (NIN). Applicants must also be medically fit and produce a certificate of medical fitness from a government hospital.
  5. Application Process: Applicants must visit the NDLEA Web Page at www.ndlea.gov.ng, click on Careers, and read the instructions carefully. They must then click on Apply Now to register and select their preferred category. Successful candidates will be required to fill further vetting forms.

Shortlisted applicants shall be invited for further examination and interview, and all successful candidates will be subjected to random illicit drug use tests throughout their service in the Agency.

Multiple applications would lead to disqualification. The closing date for all applications is Saturday, 8th April 2023.
