Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, has announced that the Federal Executive Council (FEC) has granted approvals to the BUA Group for the construction of four major roads in the state.

The roads to be constructed are Kosubosu-Kaiama-Bode Saadu, Bacita-Shonga-Lafiagi, Eiyenkorin-Afon-Offa-Odo Ottin, and Okuta-Bukuro Road, which connects to the Benin Republic, totaling 294km.

According to the Governor, these roads will be constructed under the Infrastructure Tax Credit Scheme (Executive Order 7) and will revolutionize road travels within Kwara and neighbouring states, with huge potentials for development and food security.

He expressed his appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari for the landmark development and commended BUA for keying into the laudable initiative.

The Governor also reiterated his administration’s commitment to offering all the necessary support to ensure that these projects come through for the benefit of the people.

He emphasized that the approval of these projects is a testament to the Government’s efforts to further open up the state for socio-economic growth.

In a statement released via his official Twitter handle on Wednesday, the Governor stated that “Today, our efforts to further open up our state for socioeconomic growth yielded huge returns as the Federal Executive Council (FEC) graciously granted approvals to the BUA Group for the rehabilitation of four major roads in Kwara State.”

He went on to say, “These come to 294km in all. These roads will be constructed under the Infrastructure Tax Credit Scheme (Executive Order 7). Upon completion, these projects will revolutionise road travels within Kwara and neighbouring states, with huge potentials for development and food security.”

The Governor expressed his appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari for the landmark development and commended BUA for keying into the laudable initiative.

“We thank President Muhammadu Buhari for this landmark development. We similarly commend BUA for keying into the laudable initiative. Our administration will offer all the support to make these projects come through for the benefit of our people,” the Governor said.
