This is equivalent to Ramadan 29, 1444 A.H. He declared Friday, April 21, which is equivalent to Shawwal 1, as Eid-el-Fitri.

According to the Sultan, the moon was sighted in some parts of Nigeria and confirmed by the National Moon Sighting Committee. He made the announcement from his palace on Thursday.
