MultiChoice Nigeria has announced an upward review of the prices of its DStv packages with effect from May 1, 2023.

In a memo seen by Okay.ng on Monday, the company stated that the price adjustment was necessitated by the various economic challenges impacting its business operations, adding that it was important to review the prices to continue delivering great entertainment to its customers.

“At MultiChoice Nigeria, our mission is to deliver value to our customers by making great entertainment accessible. Our key priority is to put our customers’ needs at the heart of everything we do,” the statement read.

“MultiChoice acknowledges the difficult economic climate thus kept the increase at the lowest possible point whilst ensuring sustainability and provision of quality services,” the statement added.

Under the new pricing regime, the DStv Premium package, which currently costs N21,000, will be sold at N24,500, while the Compact + package, currently priced at N14,250, will be sold at N16,600. The Compact package will now cost N10,500 from the current price of N9,000.

Similarly, the Confam package, which currently costs N5,300, will be sold at N6,200, while the Yanga and Padi packages will be sold at N3,500 and N2,500 respectively, up from their current prices of N2,950 and N2,150.
