In a significant move to complete his cabinet, President Bola Tinubu has submitted the names of the remaining ministerial nominees to the Nigerian Senate.

The list, containing nominees from eleven states, was delivered by the immediate past Speaker of the House of Representatives and current Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.

The submission took place during a Senate plenary session, where the Leader of the Senate, Opeyemi Bamidele, requested to allow Gbajabiamila to approach the chamber as a stranger.

The Minority Leader, Simon Mwadwon, seconded the motion, paving the way for the Chief of Staff to enter the chamber at 03:18 and hand over the list to Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.

The list of nominees covers the remaining states of Adamawa, Bayelsa, Gombe, Kano, Kebbi, Kogi, Lagos, Plateau, Osun, Yobe, and Zamfara.

Once unveiled by Akpabio before the end of the plenary session, the nominees’ names and credentials will undergo the Senate’s scrutiny and confirmation process.

This development follows Tinubu’s initial submission of 28 ministerial nominees on July 28.

With the latest list, President Tinubu aims to fill the remaining ministerial positions in his administration, creating a complete and functioning cabinet to address the nation’s challenges and advance its development agenda.
