Oyo Government Urges Calm Amidst Ibadan Explosion Reports

The Oyo State Government has issued a call for calm following reports of an explosion in parts of the state capital, Ibadan, on Tuesday evening.

Residents are advised to remain composed as security agencies work to investigate and determine the origin and cause of the incident.

In a statement, the Oyo State Government assured the public that efforts are underway to ascertain the details surrounding the explosion.

The government urged residents to cooperate with security agencies and avoid spreading unverified information about the incident.

“The Oyo State Government is aware of reports of an explosion in Ibadan. Residents are urged to remain calm as security agencies are investigating this to determine the source and cause of the incident.”

Despite the call for calm, viral videos circulating on various social media platforms depict scenes of dusty clouds, burning houses, and cars, further fueling concerns among the public.
