Lagos State Governor Sanwo-Olu Announces Unveiling of Red Line Rail in February

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has revealed plans for the long-awaited unveiling of the Lagos Red Line rail project, scheduled to take place in February.

Speaking at the Lagos West Senatorial District Town Hall Meeting held at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Sheraton, Ikeja, Governor Sanwo-Olu shared the exciting news, highlighting the significant progress made in the development of the state’s transportation infrastructure.

During his address, Governor Sanwo-Olu conveyed the state government’s official communication to President Bola Tinubu, inviting him to participate in the unveiling ceremony slated for February.

The governor expressed optimism about the transformative impact of the Red Line rail project on Lagos’ transportation landscape.

“Our Red Line rail will be unveiled in February. In fact, we have written officially to Mr. President to come and help us unveil it in February this year,” Governor Sanwo-Olu announced.

The unveiling of the Red Line rail marks a significant milestone in Lagos’ quest for modern, efficient, and sustainable transportation solutions.

The project holds the promise of alleviating congestion on Lagos roads, enhancing commuter experience, and promoting economic growth across the state.
