Businesses across Africa now have access to Google’s Gemini AI-powered chat-like tool for Search Ads, following its full operational rollout.

Designed to simplify online advertising and boost visibility, this intuitive tool is set to revolutionize the way businesses connect with customers online.

In regions like Sub-Saharan Africa, where internet usage is on the rise, effective online advertising is increasingly vital for business growth. Google’s conversational experience aims to address this need by simplifying the ad creation process, making it accessible to businesses of all sizes.

According to Shashi Thakur, VP & GM of Search Ads & Ads on Google Experiences, “Creating effective ads can be time-consuming, especially for small businesses. Our new conversational experience helps businesses of all sizes tap into the power of Google AI to create successful Search campaigns with remarkable ease.”

Here’s how the conversational experience functions:

  1. Easy to Get Started: Users provide a website address, and Google AI automatically analyses the content.
  2. Tailored Suggestions: The AI generates relevant keywords, ad headlines, and descriptions, tailored to the business and its target region.
  3. Visual Inspiration: Ad images are sourced from the website or created anew by Google AI.
  4. Control in Users’ Hands: Advertisers review and approve all AI-generated elements, ensuring ads align with their brand.

Businesses utilizing the conversational experience in Google Ads have reported tangible benefits, with a 42% higher likelihood of publishing Search campaigns with ‘Good’ or ‘Excellent’ Ad Strength. This improved ad quality translates directly into increased conversions, enhancing the effectiveness of online advertising efforts.

This initiative is part of Google’s broader commitment to empowering small businesses in Africa and worldwide.

By automatically generating ad content based on existing website content, Google’s AI enables ads to dynamically respond to relevant searches, enhancing visibility in search results and driving customer engagement.

The conversational AI experience for Google Search Ads is currently available globally for English-speaking advertisers, with plans to extend support to additional languages in the near future.
