The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Paul Omotoso, has passed away after a brief illness. The sad news was confirmed by Okay.ng, a digital news platform.

Mr. Omotoso, a prominent figure in Ekiti politics, reportedly succumbed to the illness in the early hours of Wednesday. He had been actively engaged in political activities, attending several meetings just days before his demise.

Sources revealed that the late politician, who hailed from Imesi-Ekiti, expressed feelings of unwellness on Tuesday.

Subsequently, he was promptly taken to a government hospital in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, where he eventually passed away.

The passing of Paul Omotoso comes as a shock to many, especially considering his recent involvement in political affairs and his resilience following a kidnapping incident in July 2023. Omotosho was abducted but later released after five days.
