The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a cautionary advisory to the public regarding the use of printed result slips for the recently concluded 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Fabian Benjamin, the spokesman for JAMB, issued the warning on Wednesday in Abuja, emphasizing that the results are not available in printed format as circulated on social media by certain individuals.

Benjamin reiterated that the only legitimate method to access the 2024 UTME results is by sending “UTMERESULT” to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number registered for the UTME examination. He stressed the importance of using the same phone number without any active bundle plan.

He clarified, “This is different from what was obtained last year; hence, the results, at the moment, are not and cannot be found on the board’s website.”

Candidates were advised by Benjamin to adhere strictly to this method for accessing their results and cautioned against visiting cybercafés or engaging third-party entities for result verification.

“A reasonable number of candidates have checked their results as seen on our monitoring dashboard, but for the few still struggling, please follow the right channel,” Benjamin emphasized.
