Russian President Vladimir Putin was sworn in for a fifth term on Tuesday, solidifying his grip on power for another six years.

The 71-year-old leader has ruled Russia since 1999, making him the longest-serving Kremlin leader since Josef Stalin.

The lavish Kremlin ceremony was boycotted by the United States and many Western countries, citing Russia’s ongoing war in Ukraine.

Putin’s leadership has transformed Russia from a nation recovering from economic collapse to a pariah state that poses a threat to global security.

Despite facing severe sanctions from the West, Putin remains defiant, turning to other regimes like China, Iran, and North Korea for support.

His latest term in office will see him remain in power until at least 2030, cementing his position as one of the most enduring leaders of our time.
