Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has admitted to making a mistake by supporting Siminalayi Fubara as his successor as the governor of Rivers State.

Wike apologized to the people of Rivers State for his error and assured them that he would correct it at the appropriate time.

He emphasized that as a human being, he is bound to make mistakes and that his judgment can be wrong.

Wike’s statement seems to be a response to Fubara’s recent comment that he appreciates Wike’s support but will not worship him. Wike clarified that he never told anyone to worship him, as he is not God.

The relationship between Fubara and Wike has been strained, leading to a political crisis in the state.
