Police Confirm Abduction of Dangote Cement Workers in Edo

The Edo State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of a large number of workers from the Dangote Cement Company in Okpella, Etsako East Local Government Area of the state.

According to the Command’s spokesperson, Chidi Nwabuzor, the workers were kidnapped on Monday evening, and operations to rescue them are currently ongoing.

Nwabuzor disclosed that the Divisional Police Officer of Okpella Division has mobilized a team of operatives for a bush-combing exercise to locate the victims and apprehend the abductors.

The police are working to ensure the safe return of the kidnapped workers, and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
