The Nigerian military has declared Halilu Buzu, a notorious terrorist, wanted for his involvement in terrorist activities, illegal arms supplies, illegal mining, and cattle rustling.

According to the Director of Operations, Major General Edward Buba, Halilu Buzu, who hails from Niger State, operates from a forest in Zamfara State and often escapes to the Niger Republic after carrying out attacks in Nigeria. The military is working with its counterparts from the Niger Republic to ensure his arrest.

In a separate development, the troops of the Nigerian Army have rescued 253 kidnapped victims in the last two weeks. The feat was achieved by the Troops of Operations Y-Watch, the Troops of Nokia-Fighting Patrols, and the Troops of Operations Delta State. Additionally, 227 terrorists were neutralized, and 529 were arrested. Eleven perpetrators of oil theft were also arrested during the period under review.

Major General Edward Buba emphasized that the fight against terrorism must be won and that the military will relentlessly target terrorists to take them off the battlefield as soon as possible.
