15 Bereaved Families Of Immigration Job Tragedy get N75m, 35 Jobs offer – Pres. Goodluck Jonathan

Punch is reporting that President Goodluck Jonathan has offered 35 job vacancies and N75m to 15 families, who lost their relatives during the tragic Nigerian Immigration Service nationwide recruitment exercise in Abuja on March 15, 2014.

Millions of job seekers thronged the National Stadium, Abuja, venue of the exercise that reportedly left about 18 people dead and many injured.

It was reported that 7 people were confirmed dead on the spot after a stampede at the 60,000-seater stadium which was filled up.

The applicants, mostly youths, had certificates ranging from master’s degree to bachelor’s degree, Higher National Diploma, National Certificate in Education, National Diploma and Senior Secondary School Leaving Certificate.
