Gunmen Abduct Three Chinese Nationals In Kogi

Three Chinese citizens have been abducted in Kogi state, less than one week after two expatriate Chinese workers were kidnapped.

According to The Nation, the three Chinese nationals were abducted at a suburb of Lokoja metropolis called crusher early Thursday.

The gunmen, who stormed the company premises where also doubles as a residential place between 4am and 5am, reportedly numbered about 12. They engaged the five police officers attached to the company in a gun battle and killed 1 officer in the process.

The report said the Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Adeyemi Ogunjemilusi confirmed the abduction and said the kidnappers escaped with their victims through the bush.
