The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has discharged Bello Bodejo, the leader of Miyetti Allah Kautal Kore, of alleged terrorism charges. The Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) withdrew the three-count charge, citing the interest of justice.

Justice Inyang Ekwo accepted the withdrawal application, made under Section 108 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA), 2015, and Section 174 of the 1999 Constitution.

The defense counsel, Ahmed Raji, thanked the AGF for the gesture and requested the court to discharge the accused person. The court subsequently discharged Bello Bodejo.
