As a result of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu quest to relieve the effects of subsidy removal, the President will on Friday, May 31, 2024 Commission the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) conversion, filling, Reverse Engineering and Training Centre in Utako Abuja.

This action marks an achievement for NASENI in it quest to support the Federal Government Renewed Hope Agenda. especially on sustainable energy alternatives and clean energy ecosystem.

The facility is a modern day conversion of fossil fuel vehicles to CNG, cleaner and alternatively cost free.

The objective of the NASENI CNG project is to build CNG technology local capacity, delivering precise training programmes for technicians, engineers and stakeholders ensuring domestication of expertise in CNG systems and promoting the usage of green energy solutions across Nigeria.

The executive Vice Chairman/CEO of the agency, Khali Suleiman Halilu, stated that NASENI-portland Gas Reverse Engineering Centre establishment is a transformative turn for Energy sector in Nigeria.
