Kebbi State Declares Public Holiday to Mark Islamic New Year

Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has declared Monday a public holiday to commemorate the beginning of the Islamic new year, 1st Muharram 1446AH. This move is aimed at allowing residents of the state to observe the significant religious occasion.

The declaration of a public holiday on Monday will enable Muslims in Kebbi State to mark the start of the new Islamic calendar, which is an important date in the Islamic faith.

With this declaration, all government offices, schools, and other public institutions in Kebbi State will remain closed on Monday. allowing citizens to participate in religious activities and celebrations marking the occasion.
