The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has announced the addition of 12 state-owned tertiary institutions to its student verification system (SVS), bringing the total number of eligible institutions to 48.

NELFUND had on Sunday revealed that only 36 out of 151 state-owned institutions had uploaded their students’ data to the SVS, which is essential for granting students access to the federal government’s loan scheme.

The fund urged remaining state-owned tertiary institutions to submit their complete student data to the SVS portal to enable their students to benefit from the scheme.
