President Bola Tinubu has expressed profound sorrow following the collapse of a school building in Jos, Plateau State, which has resulted in numerous fatalities and injuries.

In a statement released by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, President Tinubu described the incident as a significant loss to the nation and a devastating event that is difficult to comprehend. He extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, as well as to the people and Government of Plateau State.

President Tinubu praised the efforts of emergency responders, including the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), security agencies, and local citizens who have been actively involved in the search, rescue, and resuscitation operations.

He assured the residents of Plateau State of his unwavering support during this challenging period.
