Kano Governor Reinstates Deposed Emir of Gaya, Appoints New Emirs

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved the reinstatement of Alhaji Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir as the Emir of Gaya, and appointed new emirs for Karaye and Rano Emirates.

The appointments were announced in a statement by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the governor, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

Alhaji Muhammad Maharaz Karaye, formerly District Head of Rogo, has been appointed as the Emir of Karaye, while Alhaji Muhammad Isa Umar, formerly District Head of Bunkure, has been appointed as the Emir of Rano.

The governor congratulated the new emirs and urged them to promote culture, peace, and unity in their respective emirates. The appointments take effect immediately.
