The abductors of the Kabba/Bunu Local Government Chairman, Mr. Dare Zaccheaus, and his aides, who remain in captivity, have demanded a staggering N100 million ransom for their release.

Okay.ng had reported how Zaccheaus, who was kidnapped alongside his aides on Friday, was abandoned by his captors due to health complications. He has since been rescued. He is currently receiving medical attention in Lokoja.

The kidnappers have contacted the families of the aides, demanding the ransom payment. The Kogi State Police Command has confirmed the incident and assured that efforts are being made to secure the release of the abducted aides.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Williams Aya, the police are working tirelessly to ensure the safe return of the victims. This incident is the latest in a string of kidnappings in the state, raising concerns about the growing insecurity in the region.
