Jerry Eze, the founder and president of Streams of Joy International, has responded to allegations that a miracle performed during a recent conference in the United Kingdom was staged.

The event, part of the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declaration (NSSPD) series, saw an 8-year-old girl reportedly healed from cerebral palsy, sparking both praise and skepticism online.

The dramatic healing, where the girl—previously confined to a wheelchair—was said to have walked, quickly became a viral topic, with social media divided.

While many celebrated the apparent miracle, a wave of criticism followed, accusing Eze of orchestrating the event for publicity and questioning why similar miracles were not performed for sick Nigerians back home.

In a sermon addressing his congregation, the 41-year-old clergyman made it clear that he would not be drawn into the controversy.

“Listen NSSPDiers, you will never see this man here reply anybody. I do not have that kind of time; I do not have the time,” Eze said, brushing off the accusations.

He emphasized that his focus remains on his ministry, stating, “There are more important things to do for God. Look at the arranged miracle, no ooo, she was never in a wheelchair. Look at the parents.”

Eze’s Streams of Joy International, which began in Abia State in 2013, has since expanded to over 13 branches worldwide, drawing large congregations both in Nigeria and abroad.

Despite the ongoing debate, Eze remains undeterred, continuing his spiritual work and engaging with his growing global audience.
