Former President Muhammadu Buhari has extended his heartfelt condolences to Professor Mahmud Jega, former chairman of the National Electoral Commission (INEC), on the loss of his mother, Hajiya Hauwa Kulu Muhammadu Jega. She passed away in Abuja after a brief illness.

In a statement released by his spokesman, Garba Shehu, Buhari expressed his deepest sympathy, acknowledging the profound impact of losing a mother.

He offered prayers and support to Jega and his family, hoping they find solace in the good deeds she left behind.

Buhari also wished for her soul to rest in peace and be granted Aljannul Firdaus.
