Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun on her appointment as the Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN).

Sanwo-Olu described Kekere-Ekun’s appointment as well-deserved, given her over 30 years of experience in the legal profession and her track record as a seasoned jurist.

The Governor praised Kekere-Ekun as a good ambassador of Lagos State and the State judiciary, where she served for over two decades in various capacities. He urged her to uphold the highest standards of integrity, fairness, and justice in her new role.

Sanwo-Olu noted that Kekere-Ekun’s emergence as the second female CJN is a source of pride for Lagos State, and he expressed confidence that she will not disappoint Nigeria in her new position.

This congratulations comes as Kekere-Ekun takes on the responsibilities of the Acting CJN, a position that requires strong leadership and a commitment to upholding the principles of Justice.
