Dangote’s Fuel Supply will boost Economy, Says Dapo Abiodun

Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Executive Governor of Ogun State have lauded the implementation of fuel production by Dangote refinery saying it will strengthen the nation’s economy by eliminating constant shortages and conserving foreign exchange.

The 650,000 barrels of petrol produced per day from Dangote refinery is expected to occupy filing stations in the next 48 hours as procedures with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited have been established.

In a statement signed on Tuesday by Governor Dapo Abiodun chief press secretary Lekan Adeniran, he stated that with the refinery coming on stream, one of the most significant challenges faced by Nigeria for more than three decades reliance on fuel importation will be settled.

The Nation will have a sigh of relief from constant fuel shortages with the economy being boosted based on Warri and Port Harcourt refineries preparing for production, the statement added.

Aliko Dangote was lauded by Dapo Abiodun for his determination to experience the multi-billion dollar projects despite challenges.

President Bola Tinubu was also commended by the Governor for his involvement in ensuring that the refinery came on stream during his administration.

The governor added that the economic impact of the refinery transcends beyond fuel production, thousands of jobs are expected to be generated, bringing reduction to unemployment rates.
