The former Chairman of the Sokoto State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ibrahim Milgoma, has passed away.

His death, which occurred on Tuesday after a prolonged illness, was confirmed in a statement signed by the party’s spokesman, Hassan Sanyinnawal, and made available to the press on Wednesday.

Milgoma’s passing has been described as a significant loss, not only to the PDP in Sokoto State but also at the national level.

The party highlighted his considerable contributions to the development of Sokoto State and Nigeria.

“The late Ibrahim Milgoma was a distinguished gentleman and respected leader who contributed immensely to the development of Sokoto State and Nigeria in general,” the statement read.

“Sokoto PDP has indeed lost a father and a respected leader who piloted the affairs of the party with the dedication and commitment that ensured the victory of our great party in the 2019 general election.”

The PDP Sokoto State Chapter extended its condolences to Milgoma’s family and prayed for his soul.

“The PDP Sokoto State Chapter prays that Almighty Allah forgives his shortcomings, rewards his good deeds with Aljannat Firdaus, and grants his household and the entire state the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,” the statement concluded.
