Edo Decides 2024: Logistics Delay Distribution of Electoral Materials

Logistics delayed the commencement of the Edo State governorship election in parts of Edo South senatorial district as election materials and election officials were still at the RAC headquarters after 8am on Saturday.

It was gathered that while some ad hoc officers complained that they were yet to be paid, others, according to them, were already paid.

They insisted that they would not travel to the designated polling stations unless they were paid.

In the three polling stations, there was no indication that election is happening due to lack of materials and officials at the Oba Market, Zebayo Street and Plymouth Road polling stations.

There were also no signs identifying the polling stations; some police officers who were stationed at the polling stations were seen checking the stations they were assigned.
