Popular Nigerian activist VeryDarkMan, also known as VDM, has confirmed that renowned music producer Don Jazzy was the anonymous donor behind the N100 million contribution to his Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO).

VDM shared the revelation on October 17 through his verified Instagram account, expressing both surprise and deep gratitude for the immense donation.

The announcement comes after VDM raised concerns earlier this month when the anonymous donation brought the total balance in his NGO account to N170 million.

At the time, he had reached out to Nigerians and Zenith Bank to help identify the donor, clarifying that he was not involved in any fraudulent activities and had no prior knowledge of the source of the funds.

Despite his initial efforts to trace the donor, no one immediately came forward. However, VDM revealed that Don Jazzy, whose real name is Michael Collins Ajereh, personally contacted him to confirm that he was the benefactor behind the generous contribution.

In a message shared by VDM, Don Jazzy wrote:

“Morning bro. Just saw your post. Na me send 100m to support. I believe in what you are doing and trust you to be as transparent as you have always been. We really need that in our country. I wish you all the best with the project and more blessings to you. E no easy.”

Still overwhelmed by the unexpected support, VDM shared a video on social media displaying the message from Don Jazzy along with the receipt of the transaction.

He expressed his profound gratitude for the music mogul’s generosity, admitting that he never anticipated receiving such a substantial donation.

“I never expected something this big from Don Jazzy. This is truly a blessing,” VDM stated in the video.

VDM also explained that the NGO, which now has a significantly boosted account balance, was established to support children in public primary schools who lack access to quality teachers.
