Dr Charles Apoki, an internet personality, public speaker and consultant has taken to his YouTube channel to reveal what Nedu and the Honest Bunch podcast caused him.

In a recent video, he reflected on how his words during the interview led to viral nicknames, international recognition, and even surprising encounters with security officials.

Dr. Apoki revealed that he was not familiar with The Honest Bunch podcast before being invited for an interview. “I never knew them until that week,” he said.

He initially assumed the show was based elsewhere but was informed he needed to travel to Lagos. The podcast team covered his flight and hotel fee, though he insisted on paying for his own food.

“When they said they wanted a refund, I told them that they couldn’t pay me for my time,” he explained. “It’s not pride, it’s just the truth.” He expressed gratitude to the studio owner and the business behind the podcast, though he refrained from mentioning any names.

During the interview, Dr. Apoki made some remarks that he never expected to resonate so widely. “You can go for an interview and say many things, but it’s only a few that will stimulate the ears of the people,” he noted.

One such statement was when he mentioned financial orgasm. “I never knew it would become my nickname around the world,” he admitted. Another phrase, two-minute man, also took on a life of its own. “I never knew it would become the slogan all over the world.”

The impact of these viral nicknames became evident in various real-life situations. While traveling to Ghana for a lecture at a library called Where Bits and Books Meet, an immigration officer recognized him.

“One of the officers just saw me and said, ‘Hey! See the man! The man who said don’t waste time on top of a woman!’” Dr. Apoki recounted. This recognition led to “express and royal treatment.”

Another striking moment occurred at an airport security checkpoint. “When I came back from Europe, I was flying from Abuja, and a security lady saw me and started screaming, ‘Financial orgasm! I want financial orgasm!’” he recalled with amusement.

Dr. Apoki also narrated a humorous encounter with a police officer. While driving back from a consultation in the United States, he politely greeted an officer at a roundabout.

“He looked at me and said, ‘Hey! Organism! Organism! I’ve seen organism today!’” Dr. Apoki initially misunderstood the officer, thinking he was referring to his real estate manager.

“It was after I drove a few meters forward that I realized he meant orgasm, but instead, he said organism. That’s What The Honest Bunch Did to Me,” he said.
