MTN Nigeria, the country’s largest telecommunications operator, has announced that it has secured a land in Eko Atlantic City as part of its plans to relocate its headquarters.

The company’s Chief Executive Officer, Karl Toriola, disclosed this on Thursday in Lagos during the launch of MyLagosApp, a digital platform designed to improve access to essential city services for residents.

With this move, MTN joins an elite group of companies, including First Bank, Shell, and TVC, that are relocating to Eko Atlantic City, a 10-square-kilometer self-sustaining urban development built on reclaimed land off the Lagos coast.

Speaking at the event, Toriola reaffirmed MTN’s long-term investment in Lagos, stating:

“Beyond connectivity, we are committed to making long-term investments in Lagos. As part of this commitment, we have acquired a piece of land in Eko Atlantic City, and we will commence construction once we have gotten the equipment.”

However, he did not disclose a specific timeline or financial details regarding the project.
