At least 45 people were reportedly killed after Boko Haram invaded Azaya Kura village in Borno State on Thursday.

According to The Stream, residents of the village said the death toll was probably more than 45, as others may have died as they fled into the bush.

Mafa, which is located about 50 kilometres (30 miles) east by road from the Borno state capital, Maiduguri, and the surrounding area has been constantly attacked by the Islamist terrorists.
