The Ogun State Police Command has begun an investigation into the disappearance of a senior Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officer, Funmilayo Oluwamayokun, aged 39, and her teenage daughter, Sewa Lasisi, who were last seen on Sunday, November 2, 2025.

According to a statement released on Friday by the State Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, the mother and daughter were reported missing after they left their residence in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, and did not return home.
Okay News reports that Oluwamayokun, a Superintendent Route Commander, is a fourth-level senior operational officer in the FRSC structure responsible for multiple route supervision and strategic enforcement coordination.

The police said several attempts by family members and colleagues to contact them via their mobile phones had failed.
“The Ogun State Police Command is seeking the public’s assistance in locating one SRC Lasisi Funmilayo Oluwamayokun, a 38-year-old female officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Abeokuta Unit, and her daughter, Sewa Lasisi, who have been declared missing,” Odutola stated.

The report, according to the police, was lodged at the Kemta Divisional Police Headquarters on Tuesday, November 5, 2025, by a fellow FRSC officer serving in Abeokuta alongside the victims’ family members. It indicated that both individuals left their home at Obasanjo Hilltop Estate, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, on Sunday morning and have not returned since then.

The state Commissioner of Police has ordered a thorough investigation to uncover the circumstances behind their disappearance and ensure their safe return.
The police command appealed to anyone with useful information about their whereabouts to contact the nearest police station, assuring that all information will be treated with confidentiality.
