Residents of Jabo village on Thursday moved through scattered wreckage as they recovered debris from the scene of a US airstrike carried out in the early hours of Friday.
Okay News reports that pieces of twisted metal and burnt fragments were seen across parts of the village in Tambuwal Local Government Area, where locals gathered to inspect the aftermath and clear what remained of the strike zone.
The operation followed US military action targeting suspected ISIS militants in northwest Nigeria, amid escalating security concerns and attacks on civilian communities in the region.
Residents said the blast left visible impact marks on surrounding structures, while farmland and nearby paths were littered with debris.
Eyewitnesses described scenes of caution and confusion as villagers searched the area to assess damage by the strike.
Some residents said they were uncertain about the scale of the strike until daylight revealed the extent of the destruction.
As of the time of reporting, there was no official confirmation on casualties or the full level of damage resulting from the airstrike.
