The candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in Lagos State, Jimi Agbaje, has congratulated Akinwunmi Ambode of the All Progressives Congress on his victory in the Saturday gubernatorial poll in the state.
With collation of votes still ongoing the state, congratulatory messages are already pouring in for Ambode.
It was reported that Agbaje called the Governor-elect on the telephone at exactly 6.58pm to concede defeat and congratulate the APC candidate.
Reports said the APC in Lagos rolled out the drums in celebration after Ambode won in the local government areas that definitively indicated the PDP had been defeated in the poll.
However, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is yet to officially announce Lagos State results.
