Former Minister of Education, Mrs. Oby Ezekwesili and coodinator of the #BringBackOurGirls campaign has been accused, alongside others in an open letter by the Director, Defence Information, Maj. Gen. Chris Olukolade of trying to end the careers of a select group of military officers in the country.

Olukolade, in the letter, claimed that the campaign was aimed at him and some of his colleagues maliciously.

The letter was released, yesterday, Sunday in an attachment to a PR Nigeria Electronic mail.

Olukolade also alleged that the #BBOG campaign targeted the image of the military to destroy it because of envy.

Quoted:

“Indeed, I am also conscious of the enormous power you wield. The belief is that your organisation has the determination to ruin the name, career, and reputation of some targeted military officers among whom I have been specifically marked for such cruel treatment.
“I can only leave such matter to God and the good judgment of the people who read or hear you.  I am so sure I will enjoy the blessing of being vindicated at last.”
