Following Nigerians’ disappointing reaction to the outrageous remuneration senators of the eight assembly are expected to be paid in allowances, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce has declared that he would donate his wardrobe allowance to unpaid workers in Osun State.

Bruce was attacked on Twitter last week after his comment over the National Assembly (NASS) allowance, stating he could only speak for himself and that change cannot come overnight – the statement which was perceived by twitter users as him going back on his previous promise to push for salaries and allowances of senators to be slashed.

The senator has however said he would donate a part of his wardrobe allowance to Osun workers and the other half to widows in community.

He tweeted, “I, Ben Murray Bruce, will not sit down idly, while my fellow citizens die because salaries have not been paid.

“As a first step, I am immediately donating my wardrobe allowance to unpaid workers in Osun state and widows in my Constituency.”

5-As soon as my wardrobe allowance is paid, I will divide it into 2. Half will be publicly given to the NLC Chairman Osun.
