President Muhammadu Buhari has been urged to share the tax of the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG), in a bid to help resolve the current financial crisis facing the states of the nation.

The state governors made the demand at the inaugural meeting which they held with Buhari on Tuesday.

Abdulazeez Yari, governor of Zamfara state and chairman of the Nigerian governors forum, disclosed this to journalists at the end of the meeting.

Apart from the governors of Bayelsa and Plateau states, who were represented at the meeting, the other 34 governors attended.

The amount of NLGN tax to be shared was not disclosed however.

The governors also demanded that the president refunds money used in executing federal government projects in their respective states.
