Gov. Ambode Offers Assistance To Abandoned Mother of Three Sets of Twins

Lagos governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, has directed his deputy, Dr. Mrs. Oluranti Adebule, to immediately rehabilitate and provide welfare assistance to Mrs. Ruth Uche, the mother of three set of twins whose husband ran away from he house after she got pregnant for the third set of twins.

In a statement this evening, the press secretary to the governor, Habib Aruna,said that the governor’s directive followed newspaper publications which reported her touching story.

Ambode said that as a responsible government, the well-being of the people of the State irrespective of their ethnic, religious or political affiliation is paramount to his administration.

The governor stated that despite the economic condition in the nation, it was improper for anyone to dump his family, especially young children that they willingly brought to life, admonishing that it is only when such children are properly taken care of that they can achieve their full potentials in life and become responsible citizens in the future.
