Barring unforeseen events, President Muhammadu Buhari is set to announce Tolu Ogunlesi, a journalist, as his Special Assistant on New Media.

According to PREMIUM TIMES, officials have the Presidency disclosed that Ogunlesi has undergone security screening and his appointment is to be
announced in the coming days.

Ogunlesi has won the CNN African journalists award twice. Should the appointment come through, Ogunlesi
will be the Buhari administration’s social media anchor, a role played by Reno Omokiri for former President Goodluck Jonathan.
