Authorities have arrested Mr. Gordon Obua, the Chief Security Officer (CSO) to former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan during his 6-year tenure as President.
A security source with knowledge of the development told THEWILL that the employee of the State Security Service (SSS) was taken into custody by the secret service on Thursday evening (local time).
So far, the newspaper has been unable to independently confirm why he was arrested.
Meanwhile, the Society for Global Justice has called on the SSS to release him with immediate effect.
The group in a statement issued by its Executive Director. Mr Marcus Ogabe confirmed that Obua was detained at the SSS headquarters in Abuja since Thursday.
