From the results announced so far, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abubakar Audu, is leading in the polls against the PDP candidate and incumbent governor, Idris Wada.

So far results for 11 local government councils have been announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), with Audu polling 102,214 votes against Wada’s 84,770 votes.

Of the 11 LGAs announced so far, Wada defeated Audu in only two of them – Ogori/Magongo and Okene.
