The governorship election in some parts of Bayelsa State has been cancelled.
The INEC Electoral Officer for Southern Ijaw Local Government Area has announced the cancellation of election in the council.
There have been reports of electoral violence in the area with about 5 people perceived dead.
The new date for the election will be announced later.
